Teriyaki Burger

Yield: 4 servings
Time: 30 minutes
-2 lb ground beef
-1 onion (chopped)
-1 tsp garlic (ground)
-1 tsp ginger (ground)
-4 pieces of sliced pineapples
-2 egg (beaten)
-4 lettuce leaves
-4 hamburger buns
-3 tbsp soy sauce
-3 tbsp sugar
-3 tbsp mirin
-3 tsp katakuriko (mix with 1 tbsp water)
- salt and pepper
-4 tsp mayonnaise
  1. In a frying pan, cook onion for 5 minutes then set aside
  2. Mix soy sauce, sugar, mirin and 1 tbsp water
  3. Put beef in a bowl, add garlic, ginger and mix well
  4. Add beaten egg and mix until it becomes sticky, then sprinkle salt and pepper and mix
  5. Form 4 hamburger patties
  6. Cook beef patties for 8 minutes or until cooked then set aside 
  7. Add mixed spices to the same frying pan, then add katakuriko/water mixture and stir until the teriyaki sauce has become sticky
  8. Toast 4 buns
  9. Pour some teriyaki sauce on the hamburger patties and add a slice of pineapple
  10. Put the patty on the hamburger bun and add mayonnaise and lettuce
